I feel like I need to do a tribute to "my girls." I just can't imagine my life without them. Some people refer to their two little girls at home or the girls might be two little girl puppies. "My girls" are the girls I run with. Honestly I don't know what I would do without them. What started out to getting together for a long run of 6 miles on Fridays has turned into....loonnnggg runs on Fridays up near the 19 miles to a Wednesday speed and hill workout run which consits of 5-6 miles to hey lets run a short 8 together on Monday oh and I am going to bust out 5 on Sunday too. (yes we are training for a marathon Baltimore and Chicago)
These are the people who anything goes and everything said on a run stays on a run. We can discuss anything together and always have the support of everyone. If are kids are out of control guess what no worries because someone elses kids were out of control too. Someones husband is being a jerk guess what someone elses is being a jerk too. Someone is having a gut issue and needs to take it to the weeds guess what someone else's gut is bad too. The nice thing is is that other person was worried about their gut so they hand over some tissue and share their small stash of tp with the other.
6 weeks from today we will all be together hopefully have all completed the Baltimore Marathon together. One of the divas is running Chicago Marathon the week before but she is still joining us in Baltimore and running the last 6 miles with us. I am sure on race day we can talk her into 8 though. So lets here it for "my girls".....I love them all.....and can't wait for my next run with them.....
